Re: Some Assembly Required

This is my second album, which took me about a year to record -- partially because there was a lot of work done to *assemble* the cast of players! 11 tracks, and 11 different players, to be exact. Besides myself and Charlie, we were joined by Isaac Alderson (the Yanks, Comas, etc) on flute for a couple of tracks, Rob Forkner (Tea Merchants, The Here and Now, and maker of Metloef Drums) on 6 tracks, Jessie Burns (Gaelic Storm, Take Down The Door) on fiddle, Dirk Mewes (Lilt Collective, and Dirk Mewes Pipes) on uilleann pipes, Niamh Fahy and Chris Buckley (both of The Here and Now) on fiddle, Willie Crook (Crook Concertinas) on concertina, Lisa Yowell (one of my session mates, in her first recording) on flute, and of course, Will Harmon on fiddle as well. I’ve added all of the original tunes to the database so that you have links to everything. I hope you enjoy it!

Re: Some Assembly Required

Hi Reverend, and congrats on releasing this album. It must feel so great to have it finally out there! I’ve always appreciated your helpfulness on the forum discussions. I love your reel title “For Pete’s Sake.”

Re: Some Assembly Required

Thanks, Whimbrel! For Pete’s Sake was written for me by our old friend from around these parts, Will Harmon. And he recorded that track with me last April during a trip to Colorado. I couldn’t be happier to have finally gotten him to record something with me (and all it took was me learning another of his great tunes) 😉

Re: Some Assembly Required

Somebody should record an album of Will’s tunes so we newbies can all hear them.

Re: Some Assembly Required

Sounds fantastic, Pete!
