Re: Celtic Fiddle - 60 Traditional Favourites

I picked up this CD in a London record shop. I find that his style is strange to me, and also the way he mixes the tunes in a set instead of playing them one after the other. I’m wondering whether the mixing thing has to do with trying to make tracks original (for copyrighting) or might be a Scottish thing (just because the only other album where I heard this done is Scottish); and also whether the playing style is idiosyncratic or can be related to a certain tradition. Could anyone illuminate me?
