Budget bicentennial double-CD release on Proper’s Retro label, coordinated by Ron Kavana.

The accompanying eight page ‘booklet’ provides no information about context, history or the reason why particular songs or tunes have been selected. However, its credits reveal that Ron Kavana has claimed ‘Trad. Arr’ rights for most of them and written/co-authored a handful more.

The band consists of Kavana, Miriam Kavana, Andy Martyn, Rod Demick, Gino Lupari, Tómas Lynch, Brian McNeill, Leonard Barry, Mick Flynn, Ollie Blanchflower, and Chopper. The question of who plays what is left to the imagination (though the above list contains three bass-players).
