Joanna Clare has put together a great collection of tunes, traditional and original, dedicated to the great musicians who influenced her development as a fiddler. She is supported on the record by: Myron Bretholz, Bodhrán; Brian Conway, Fiddle; Josh Dukes, Guitar, Flute; Billy McComiskey, Accordion; Sean McComiskey, Accordion; Matt Mulqueen, Piano; and Catherine O’Kelly, Vocals. Not a weak track on the record, but my favorites so far are the Brown Coffin/Brigit of Knock, Planxty Hugh O’Donnell, and The Reel with the Birl/The Highest Hill in Sligo/Frank’s.
