"Playing a flute is like writing a book. You’re telling what’s in your heart…It’s easier to play if it’s right from your heart. You get the tone, and the fingers will follow." -Eddie Cahill

Track 4 correction: Silver Spire vs. Silver Spear

It’s listed as the spire, but it’s the spear, is it not?

Looks like "Spire" to me. "Spear" is FA A2 BAFA, dfed BdA2 ..

Spear

It says "Spear" on the LP cover, it says "Spear" on the record label, and it’s the "Silver Spear" he plays. "The Silver Spire" does not appear anywhere on the LP recording I have. Don’t know why gian marco posted that title.

This has been re released on a double album with John Vesey on on disc and Eddie Cahill on the other. I first heard Eddie playing with John on the ‘sligo fiddler’ Album, which is an absolute Classic I cant recommend Highly enough. So I read a review on.<<irishmusicreview.com>> of this album and it was such a slagging review, I thought the Album had to be worth getting. Brilliant, and I haven’t even listened to Johns disc yet!

Its Excellent IMO. Get it! 🙂

Since Will Evans is incapable of recognising nuances in anything, let alone a review, I’d strongly advise reading the entirety of my comments on http://www.irishmusicreview.com.

You must be a bit lonely now, Jig, since your mucker’s been suspended until February.
