Tradition musicians and supporters welcome. Landord Niall seems very keen to get a regular session going so I’m hoping a good few sessioneers will come along to help it get off the ground. A pub named after a cigarette? Are we allowed to play the reel called The Dunne Hills?
Lives up to its name …
i.e. it was *very* smoky. But I guess we just have to suck that up here in England until we get some decent laws to give us some clean air to breath 🙂
However, the music was wonderful. It’s friendly, and not too fasht by London standards. Mick even gave us a bit of Jimi Hendrix on the banjo 🙂
Nice venue
Played at The Woodbine for the first time 4th Dec. Nice venue, women friendly, no carpet and wood paneling making a good sound, owner Niall and manager Keiron both seem really keen. It really has the right “feel” of a place where a session could really run and run. We can’t do 18/12/05 but I’m hoping to keep the session going with alternative musicians. The session will be closed 25/12/05 and 1/1/06.
… I didn’t notice that the women were *that* friendly 🙂
Somebody hit him for me, will you? 🙂
