The Shaskeen Session in Manchester
This session is run by Fiddle player John Murphy, and Flute player Peter Molloy (son of Matt Molloy). The Sunday session starts at 4 the monday night session, which is open starts at 7. It’s a great venue filled with great people and music.
Paddy Keenan and Tommy O’Sullivan played there last Sunday night, and It was one of the best things I’ve ever heard. The bar is newly opened, please come down to support the music and the people running the bar

Re: The Shaskeen
There is neither a Sunday — nor a Monday — session at this time. Best to call the pub for more information.
Re: The Shaskeen
RIP Shaskeen session :(
The Shaskeen
Session starts at 3 pm. Tasty beer available at the bar.
Re: The Shaskeen
It is best to call before coming. This is not a beginner session.
The tunes are often obscure and are often played at a fast tempo.
Re: The Shaskeen
False website iinfo: Shaskeen is NOT on Sunday. It’s on Saturday
Re: The Shaskeen
According to the bar’s website, there’s both a Saturday (3-6pm) and a Sunday (2-5pm) session.
Re: The Shaskeen
The Saturday session, from 3-6 PM, is still going strong (with no guitar and no bodhran). Melody instruments are welcome.
There is no Sunday traditional Irish session though balladeer Marty Quirk still sings his heart out on Sunday afternoon.
