Just thought that I’d share this session, for those who are interested in traditional vocal Newfoundland music.
It happens on the last Thursday of the month, starting at 8:00 at the Crow’s Nest officers club by the war memorial downtown. Is a $3 to get in, to cover the cost of the space.
Everyone is always encouraged to sing, but not pressured, audience is welcome too. There are some seasoned performers who frequent this venue, and also some people who just love to sing. If you are visiting from out of town, of if you live here, it is a truly unique experience and you won’t regret it. You can get Irish tunes wherever you go, but you can only experience this in Newfoundland.
Don’t bother bringing your instruments.
Re: The Crow’s Nest
No address, a venue which nowadays seems to be for members only …
