Session at Celtic Corner Brisbane

This session goes from 8pm to 10.30pm on every Friday night except when the Woodford festival is on. It is suitable for beginners with 20 tunes or more and sometimes gets very good players who should be willing to play the odd Begged Borrowed & Stolen tune. Our host is from Ireland and is an excellent supporter of our session. Space is small and in summer it can get into the low 30’s so wear something cool !

Woodford Folk Festival

Held at Woodford one hour drive North of Brisbane for 6 days between 27th December and 1st January each year, program available a month before, has own website.

Every Friday

This session started in 2003 and so it has passed its tenth anniversary. We play about 50 times a year apart from Good Friday and if it clashes with Christmes. We recently had to stop for five weeks as the kitchen needed refurbishing. We are back on again - you can text me on 0412 701 492 to double check. Slainte !

I played at this Session as an out of town visitor in December 2014.

This is a lively fun Session, well attended, with a high standard of musicianship.

I was made to feel welcome.

Good songs, good tunes, fun atmosphere……… I’ll be there again next time I visit Brisbane.
