Session at McMahon’s

We are giving it a go at McMahon’s. Sunday evenings 5-7pm. Times may change. All skill levels welcome! Hope to see you there!

Question

Do you post the tunes ahead of time or could I record it the first time around? I am an intermediate tin whistle player but have never been to a session before. I’ve learned everything from books and now I need to see how it is really supposed to be played.

Good seeing you last week. The place was hectic Sunday prior to St. Patrick’s Day. Hope to see you again on a future Sunday!

Great Session

Yes, I’ll definitely be coming back. I really enjoyed it. I’m trying to track down a louder whistle without breaking the bank. I’m going to have to save up quite a few pennies to get a Burke whistle!

Still going after a year…

Yeah us! If you are in the area drop on by for some tunes! 5-8 every Sunday evening…

Still plugging along after 4 years!!

Drop by for tunes, song, pints, and a few laughs!

The Seisiun is Strong!

I’ve been playing with the McMahons group for just over a year now and it keeps getting stronger all the time! It’s a great group of musicians and all skills levels continue to be welcome - please come by for a pint and a jig if you are in the area!

Re: McMahon’s Irish Pub And Restaurant

McMahon’s Irish Pub and Restaurant has closed suddenly. Currently our session is floating freely and searching for a new home in Warrenton, VA. We will update the post as soon as possible with new venue. Until then, feel free to reach out to us on our Facebook page to find out where we are having impromptu sessions!
