St. Stephen’s Green Irish Pub

This is the same group of people that has been meeting for a session at Fandango Pizza in Palo Alto for the last few years. Stephen’s Green stays open later than Fandango, and it seems like a great place for a session, so we’re moving!

The rest of the session remains the same: Irish session tunes played on traditional instruments, generally at a slower tempo than most sessions. Beginners are welcome!

We’ve been getting more players than ever. The atmosphere is much more welcoming. The crowds have enjoyed it.

Just so everyone knows this session is still current…

They begin at around 8-8:30 pm, and end at about 10 pm. This is a great session for beginners, and right in the heart of downtown Mountain View. Make sure to have lots of reels, jigs, and slip jigs on hand. ☺

This group meets every Tuesday except for the 3rd each month.

This session is going strong. Meets every Tuesday, 8 pm - 10 pm. An informal slow session starts at 7:30 pm most Tuesdays if you want to come a little early. The 4th Tuesday of the month is a full slow session as the session leaders play elsewhere.

The food is great and quite a list of beverages are available (nine kinds of cider!).

No mention of session on pub website; the sfpipersclub page doesn’t seem to have been updated for a while.

There is no mention of the session on the venue’s website.

The sfpipersclub.org site hasn’t been updated since 2015.
