Session is no longer taking place at the GJA

Hi everyone, thanks for the fantastic bunch who have been making it down to the Grand Junction Arms regularly for the sessions we have been holding on the second Tuesday of the month. Unfortunately the pub changed hands at the beginning of September and the pub is being refurbished. No more live music I am afraid. I am looking at new venues for the session so will add an update once I have settled on a new venue. Thanks again to everyone who made the sessions, while short lived, very memorable. All the best, Chantal

Session BACK ON First Tuesday - 2 November 2010

Hi again, great news, the new landlord at the Grand Junction Arms is keen to keep the music at the Grand Junction alive. The first session will be held on Tuesday 2 November. NOTE that this is the FIRST TUESDAY of the month as we discovered that the second Tuesday clashed with another local session.

Hope to see some old and new faces there.

Any questions please email me on

Thanks to everyone for your support. Chantal

Gret Session

This is a lively and varied session with a great atmosphere. There’s a good range of instruments, styles and ability and singers are welcome. We even had dancers last night. So fabulous food, good beer, a warm welcome, marvellous music and great craic -what’s not to like?

Cracking session this week

well done AGAIN for organising, Chantal. It is going from strength to strength, thanks to your efforts. Now I have found the list of tunes too so I am really looking forward to the next one! 🙂

Thank you to all of the wonderful musicians who came along to the first Tuesday of the month session at the Grand Junction Arms in Bulbourne over the years. There have been some epic nights. As anyone who has eaten at the pub can testify the food is great and going from strength to strength. Music is now being wound down as the food side of the pub evolves so we have decided to bring the session to an end. It’s been the most wonderful experience sharing tunes and songs with you all and great to end it on a high after years of packed first Tuesdays! Thanks to the landlord and staff at the pub who looked after us so well over the years and our loyal band of listeners who turned up in all weathers to cheer us on. A special thanks goes to Neil Stanton who has been there from sthe start with guitar fiddle and vocals at the ready. You are a legend. All the best to you all, Chan
