Small, friendly session with wide variety of tunes played. The more diverse the better!
The session begins at 8pm. The closest car parks are at the west gate and st. Radigunds. The pub itself is located a short distance from the cathedral square, I’m sure you can rely on your wits and Google maps for specific directions!
Well Hello Fred Holden!
I’ll definitely pop along when I’m back in the area. What’s the turnout been like so far? Many banjos?
Still going strong, be good to see some newers though!
Session still going
Just as it says, diverse music; by no means a "trad Irish" session.
Pub is small & noisy; parking in central Canterbury isn’t easy and you have to pay up to 9pm!
session not always on
this session does not necessarily happen every week; best to check before travelling
Session on this thurs?
Hi, will the sesh here be on this Thursday 13th nov? And if so, how late does it run till?…..
i´ll be visiting kent in the first two weeks of september this year and i am currently looking for sessions to attend during my stay. so my question is, will there be sessions on september 3rd and 10th?
Hi Paul, very possibly, best to check closer to the time though! It tends to be every week, but obviously if no-one turns up there’s no session
so i guess i´ll just try my luck and have a look the day after tomorrow. hope to see y´all around.
Still going strong
as of september 2015 this session is stronger than ever. Hope to see some of you down here soon.
Re: The Canterbury Tales
Are there any outside Irish music sessions planned around Canterbury in May or June?
