Saturday afternoon slow session for beginner irish musicians

Hi folks,

This saturday’s seisiun at the New York Irish center is being led by Caitlin Warbelow - an accomplished violinist and winner of several Irish fiddle competitions (http://betterfly.com/caitlinwarbelow).

Join us for a relaxed session with fellow amateur musicians, from 3pm-5pm. Coffee, tea munchies provided. All levels & instruments welcome, especially beginners who’ve just started playing.

Slow Session every saturday from 130-4pm

The Slow Session continues this Saturday afternoon at NYIC. We had some good tunes and songs for St. Paddy’s weekend. Hope the festivities continue! Drop by to share some more tunes over coffee/tea - all instruments and skill levels welcome!

Again, this is a session geared towards learning musicians. Some of us play with sheet music, but you’re encouraged to (try) pick it up by ear as well. There’s not many rules, so feel free to play at a slower pace or choose an unknown tune/song. Just make sure you know the entire tune (so others can learn from you).

Location: New York Irish Center, 1040 Jackson Ave, Long Island City (first stop in Queens after Grand Central Station on the 7 train). Head downstairs to library.

Time: 1:30pm-4pm

Cost: FREE (or few dollars to show our appreciation for amenities)

Tunelist (just suggestions, you can still play what you know): https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups#!topic/slowsession/zXAZSnhFZHA
