Lanigan´s Pub, Chicago.

Glad to see this this session is still running.
While visiting Chicago a couple of years ago, I visited this pub as somebody had told me it was where I could find Kevin Henry.
I was made very welcome, the tunes were great and all the musicians contributed to what was, for me, a thoroughly enjoyable session.
Kevin Henry is not to be missed. He is one of the great old-timers, a fine musician and generous with his music.
As Timcelt says, this is the real thing !

Lanigans Pub

This session continues to be one of the great sessions in Chicago. Regular musicians attending include the well-known great musicians Kevin Henry, Albert Neary, Francie Campbell, Mike McGrath Frank Burke, and Malachy Towey. Other great musicians who drop in from time-to-time include Larry Nugent, Sean Gavin, and when he is in town, Mick Gavin from the Detroit area. This is a very traditional session where beginning and intermediate players can sit in and play with some of the great, most experienced musicians around. This session begins at 9:00 p.m. and continues frequently until 12:30 a.m. and sometimes later.

New time for the session at Lanigan’s Pub. The session now begins at 5:00 p.m. and runs to about 8:00 p.m. every Sunday. Among the musicians who come to this session are Kevin Henry, Albert Neary, Padraig Walsh, Francy Campbell, Malachy Touhy, John Lowery, as well as Devin Shepherd and Marta Cook and visitors from out of town. This is a most welcoming session with some great musicians who welcome beginning and intermediate players. This session includes great traditional tunes, some traditional singing and stories and poetry.
