Didn’t post this but…
I’ve seen this pub on TV on a series aptly named The Corner House. It featured sessions in pubs all around the country with this name, and guest musicians and singers would come along for the craic. Obviously you’ll be lucky to find the Sands family, Arty McGlynn, Nollaig Casey and Cathal Hayden rubbing shoulders every week, but the place looks lovely and ideal for a session.
Got there early (21.00) picked two empty seats. first two musicians arrived and we are in the"wrong seats" I was shuffled down the seat until I had only one cheek on the bench, and my mate ended up in the walkway on a bar stool, rather rude I thougth. Good sing along session totally ruled by resident musicians: struggled to play one set and left early (24:00). Friendly locals shook us by the hand and thanked us for coming and playing, nothing from the resident musicians!! No suprise there!!
