Every first Sunday of the month from Nov 2012,friendly pub and session,intermediate to advanced standard,trad irish tunes & a few songs.5pm to 11pm.

Well attended and friendly session, great trad Irish tunes with a sprinkling of song. Lovely old pub with top notch real ales and serving tasty meals until 8pm. A true Trad Sunday session. Highly recommended to all.

Having attended another great session at the George last Sunday (3/2/13), I learned that there are to be two sessions there this March (2013) One on the regular 1st Sunday of the month (the 3rd) and another ‘one off’ sesh for Paddy’s night! (Sunday 17th March) How lovely to get the chance to play a sesh on actually Paddy’s instead of the usual ‘Plastics’ rolled out by the pubs for the big night! NB: The pub serves a grand pint of the black stuff too!

Sessions as you would expect are always different, depending on who turns up!

This session is very much alive and kicking. Now starting at 7pm, every 1st Sunday of the month.

Lovely old pub, very friendly and welcoming hosts. Mostly trad tunes with a few old songs. Some fantastic players too. Ranges from a handful to a pub full of musicians. Highly recommended on every level.
