Sunday night in Davey’s

Session starts around 10pm. Joe Grady (fiddle, flute), Jim O’Donnell (fiddle), Phil Cunningham (keyboard, whistle, vocals, guitar, mobile phone), Michael Byrne (harmonica, vocals), Gemma Gannon (fiddle, whistle), Imelda Regan (flute), and other local musicians. The pub is right in the middle of the village, between Charlestown and Ballaghaderreen. Very relaxed atmosphere and suitable for all abilities.

Davey’s Bar

Sunday evenings, traditional Irish music session by local musicians who are open to other styles having a go.

Good Welcome

V. Friendly and decent people. Great atmosphere with people appearing from the woodwork for a late drink. Stove stocked, chatter and jokes all night, easy to spot on the road east from Charlestown…bar is down behind the wee grocers. Great start to the week, get someone to drive you and enjoy the pints, too. I hadn’t my instruments and folk were very kind to send out for spares and let me borrow. Great Tansy - like flute playing from Joe Grady and mighty guitar from Francis. Hup!
