The Exeter Arms

Acoustic folk session which happens on second Thursday of each month, from 8.30, in friendly and convivial town centre local. Usual instruments are fiddles, flutes, melodeon, concertina, cello and guitars but all, including anyone new to sessions and nervous about playing is most welcome. Tunes are mostly English, Irish and Scots, and we like to swap tunes and bring new ones along.

Moved to the Silk Mill

Session has now moved to the Silk Mill - two minutes walk from the Exeter.

Good ale and they’ll even turn the jukebox down (but not off) if you ask nicely.

Re: The Exeter Arms

This session is now at the Furnace Inn, Duke Street, Derby on the first Thursday of every months, but still same mix and new players or folk passing through most welcome.
