Fall 2013 Schedule at Iona
Scottish traditional music performance/ session in Brooklyn NY at Iona 180 Grand Street in Williamsburg on the L , G and M trains. Trad musicians welcome. Iona has a heated garden, a whisky bar and great food. Single malt tastings to accompany the performances and dancing by the tartanlicious ladies of the NY Celtic Dancers

October 21st - Alasdair White, Battlefield Band fiddler from the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides
October 28th - Calum Pasqua, the only American winner of the Glenfiddich Scottish Fiddle competition held in Scotland
November 4th - From the island of Orkney, fiddler Louise Bichan from the band Gria - http://gria.co.uk
November 11th - Cape Bretoner Amy Beshara (fiddle) and Max Carmichael (guitar)
November 18th - Will Woodson - NY based Border piper, recent graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Trad Music Program
Great tunes in a lovely pub with a small group of very friendly and talented musicians, highly recommended! (I went at end of November 2013)
Dropped in on 30/12/13 to this small bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Session was being lead by Alasdair White and Karen Brown. Some great quality tunes played, mainly of Scottish West Coast and piping tradition. I would highly recommend this session to anyone

i´ll perhaps be in NYC from end of june til the beginning of july and am looking for sessions there. is this one still going?
