Re: Erin’s Pub

Every Saturday Billy Sutton and many friends gather for a session at Erin’s Pub. All are welcome. It usually gets underway at around 8 pm.

Re: Erin’s Pub

I added the extra day (Tuesday) at there’s a "slow" session now as well on Tuesdays at 7:30 hosted by Kelly Russell.

Re: Erin’s Pub

I caught a lovely session at Erin’s on a recent Friday night. It may have been a specially scheduled evening, I’m not sure. The standard of playing was grand. Billy Sutton (accordion) was present as was Greg Walsh (fiddle). There was an excellent piper as well. I didn’t notice any tunes exclusive to Newfoundland. Great Irish tunes were in abundance. I had a blast and would definitely return. I think Newfoundland is a grossly underrated destination for players of Irish music. We travelled from the Saint John’s all the way to the northern tip at L’anse aux meadows. The people were so kind and the scenery was breathtaking. Irish music was blaring when we walked into "Fred’s", a record store in St. John’s (don’t miss it). Thanks Billy, Greg and others for a wonderful evening—hope to return!
