The Three Horseshoes
The Three Horseshoes is a pleasant, traditional pub in the village of Goulceby, mid-way between Horncastle and Louth. The postcode is LN11 9WA. There is plenty of room for players, and a large on-site car park.
The session will be held monthly, on the first Thursday. The session is primarily for experienced traditional folk musicians with a comprehensive repertoire of Irish, Scottish, English and other recognised session tunes, but all are welcome, and players will obviously start whatever tunes they wish to, whenever they feel like it. The pub stays open until 1 a.m., so hard-core players need feel no restraint if they wish to carry on after others leave!
This session is not currently happening but the landlord and landlady would be very happy if it were to start again. If you’re interested please give them a call on 01507 343909.
It’s a great pub with good acoustics, lovely food, great beer and its own well organised campsite adjacent, so it has everything going for it!
