The Tipsy Fiddler Public House

This session takes place every Sunday afternoon from 3:30 in this recently opened Scottish pub. Being in Shanghai we have people in from all over the world. The emphasis is on Scottish/Irish songs and tunes although all other kinds of music are welcome.

Change of time

This session has moved to 5pm every Sunday.

First session in my life

It is really a nice bar with drinks and all-type live music! As a Chinese guy who taught myself ITM, I feel so lonely for the lack of people to play together, until I visited this bar when I dropped by Shanghai. Allan, Peter and Murray(typo?) and other musicians come sitting around the table, making music a part of people’s conversation. Though can’t tottally follow your dialogues, I was soooo impressed by your laughters, hahaha.

All the best, Allan!

Re: The Tipsy Fiddler Public House

Is this session still going? I’d like love to join in.

Re: The Tipsy Fiddler Public House

Same question as the other David’s one of last year: Is the session going? My wife and her pennywhistle will be in Shanghai in June. - I was in Shanghai in 2013, but the session that had been near my hotel a year earlier (when my brother attended) had moved (according to staff in the nearby Indian restaurant!). So I enjoyed Silk and Bamboo music (sizhu) in a teahouse instead.

It’s still on, but these days it starts at around 7.30pm.
