Trinity Hall, Wednesday 7:00pm session
This is an open session led by Michelle Feldman (Fiddle), John Burleson (Guitar), and Mike McKeever (Flute). This is a very new session as the old Tipperary Inn, which had been a venerable institution in the Dallas community, has sadly closed it’s doors. While the session is open, keep in mind that high session standards should be observed. The pub owners view this as more of a performance rather than an informal session, but if you can add to the sound, feel free to join in.
This session has moved to Monday nights. It’s generally fairly advanced but there isn’t much craic as they play on stage facing outward: not much chitchat, just playing. I don’t go, but the last time I dropped in there were 3 people on stage playing.
Open session is now 1st Saturday only, 3-6pm
There is also a weekly invitation-only session on Sundays from 3-6pm.
The only open session now is 1st Saturday, 3-6pm
The only open session is now the 1st Saturday of the month. Usually led by Ken Fleming and members of the Trinity Hall Session Players. Check with the pub for the occassional special event that causes cancellation.
The invitation-only Sunday session is still on Sundays from 3-6pm.
Another Session at another Trinity Hall
In addition to the 1st Saturday session at Trinity Hall in Dallas, there is another session at Trinity Hall in Allen, just 20 minutes north of the Trinity Hall in Dallas. The Allen session is 3rd Sunday of the Month 3-6pm.
Invitation only session Saturday 4-7 in Allen
There is also an invitation-only Saturday session 4-7 pm at the Trinity Hall Allen location.
Allen Trinity Hall Closed
The Allen Trinity Hall closed years ago. The Mockingbird Lane Trinity Hall still hosts a first Saturday open session from 3-6pm typically hosted by Ken Fleming and members of the Trinity Hall Session Players.
Re: Trinity Hall
Sadly, the finest pub in North Texas, Trinity Hall, closed its doors a few months back due to loss of business with COVID. Many people mourn the loss of this pub and pray for Marius and his staff. Words can not even express this loss to our community.
