Temple Bar and Grille

This session has rotating leaders, anchored by accordionist John Michael Ryan. Intermediate to advanced skill level. The session goes from 2:00-5:30 on Sundays, and the venue schedules Irish and Irish-American folk singers to play around 6:00, after the session ends. Within a block of the Eastman School of Music and Bernunzio’s Uptown Music.

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

This session is on hiatus for the remainder of the summer months, to be resumed in September.

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

Forgot to post -- the session is back on, every Sunday 2:00-5:30.

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

Checked this one out around 2:00-2:15 today (1/15/17)- no one there. The whole place was empty (though it was open).

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

They open at 2 for the session, which sometimes gets started a little after that, when people trickle in -- I missed Sunday, so couldn’t tell you when they got rolling. Would be a shame if you just missed folks! Are you local, or from out of town?

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

Good to hear it’s still running. I’m local- I’ll stop by again some Sunday.

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

Correction: the session now goes from 3:00-5:30 PM on Sundays.

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

I called and they said they don’t have the session during football season.

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

Yes, I just stopped in yesterday too and was told it was off until after football season ends. Groan. So it sounds like we’ll be back in February.

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

I’m turning this session entry off for the moment, and will turn it back on when the session resumes.

Re: Temple Bar And Grille

Sounds like it’s not coming back, at least for a while. There’s still an Irish or Irish-American singer every Sunday around 6.
