Good friendly. Nice steady Pace. Well attended. Sometimes too well attended get there early if you want to sit in.

Please note that the long running session at the Horse & Jockey has now ceased due to the retirement of the landlord. From Sept 28th 2015 it will resume at its new home, the Duke Of York - details as above.

I visited this session from Perth WA a couple of weeks ago. Very friendly group, I am pretty much a beginner with the fiddle but they made me very welcome. Looking forward to going again when I next visit the UK.

PLEASE NOTE. This is for 2018. There will be no session on either the 10th september nor the 24th september owing to refurbishment of the Duke of York Pub. Sessions will re-commence on the 8th of October

This session is still going strong and is a very traditional Irish session with some stalwarts from the 1960’s and 70’s attending. Very much an Irish traditional session and all players are welcome to this every other monday session. Look forward to seeing players of all abilities

Went there on Monday night, 21 Aug 2023. Good standard. Friendly. A couple of regulars even brought me a fiddle so that I could knock off a couple of tunes.
