Quinns Neighbourhood Pub and Eatery
This seisiún is run by Éilís Crean, one of six fiddle-players worldwide who plays the East Galway Irish Music Tradition.
The seisiún is for advanced musicians who want to learn the old styles of Irish music. Each week we select a TOW or a TOM (Tune of the Week or Tune of the Month) where Éilís records a common seisiún tune and sends it to the group and every musician learns that tune. Over the months the group has learned many tunes together and have the same sets so it becomes a great way to build an Irish music community.
Éilís is joined by Éamonn Dillon on the uilleann pipes (Belfast) and John Mock (guitar and bodhrán) who is also the resident guitarist with Maura O’Connell.
