Re: MacGregor’s

“young musicians”?

Does Bruce never play himself then?

🙂

Re: MacGregor’s

Ok. Many young musicians.

Re: MacGregor’s

According to macgregorsbars.com:
5pm to 8pm on Wednesdays, led by Rachel Chaimbeul and “joined by her friends and fellow musicians”.
4:30pm to 9pm on Sundays (which becomes “legendary” from 26Aug18).

Re: MacGregor’s

I’m headed to Inverness in a few weeks, is the Wednesday night session any good? (I’m a fiddler.)

Re: MacGregor’s

Nice friendly session with good players. My partner & I have been staying in Inverness as part of our holiday & I found this on here. We know more Irish tunes but they did play some of those too.

Re: MacGregor’s

Session is presently held on Sunday afternoon from 4-7pm. Bruce is usually playing if he’s not away. Not much space, so arrive early.
There’s a ladies’ session on Thursday evenings from 8-10 but it may be 7-9pm. Keep an eye on the website

Re: MacGregor’s

I went 2 weeks ago (Sept 2022) on the Thursday, having confirmed that it wasn’t only ‘ladies’.
It seems that the time changes often. The pub website confirms the times, so worth checking.
Very welcoming players, including Bruce. Brilliant Pub.
Very Highland, including some new, quite technical (but mainstream) stuff plus a couple of JSS tunes. Mostly fast to very fast.
9.00 got me a choice of seat. Music from 9.15 to after midnight.

Re: MacGregor’s

According to the pub’s site there’s a session on Monday evenings as well.
