The Moon & Sixpence Coffee House
A "Slow and Steady" Tunes Session. The aim of the Slow and Steady Tune Session is to play tunes, a mix of Irish, Scottish and English, at a pace to suit everybody, so that even beginners will feel able to have a go at something. We’ll suggest a couple of tunes each month to play at the next session and this way we build up a repertoire that most of us will be able join in with. We meet on the third Thursday of each month, with the first meeting on the 21st February 2019, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Experienced musicians are welcome, maybe to add some harmonies or to learn new tunes at a comfortable pace or just to join in – just don’t expect us to play more quickly. Do note however, that it’s not a workshop or tutorial, so the onus will be on players familiarising themselves with the tunes we play.
