Mickey Finn’s

Just a few miles from Disney World and many other attractions, for you out-of-towners planning vacations and convention trips!

This one will be every OTHER Tuesday, for the moment.

Eventually I’ll have a link that will list the dates, but for now (2021)

April 20
May 4,
May 18
June 1
June 15

This will probably be a fairly advanced, lively session with some experienced players, but learners are welcome at all levels.

The ground rules:

0 We may adjust seating to put strong, experienced melody players together. Don’t take it personally! We still love you! But it makes a better experience for everyone.

o We may limit the number of guitarists/strummers playing at the same time. Again, don’t take it personally! It’s just a matter of balance.

o The focus is Irish traditional music and related repertoire - to include Irish American, Scottish and Cape Breton musical traditions. Quebecois certainly welcome! We love bluegrass and old-time, but there are other venues for that, so we’ll be limiting that repertoire.

o Keep it kid-friendly. We want players visiting Disney, etc. to be comfortable bringing their whole families, and parents of the many young Irish dancers in this community to be comfortable bringing their children, too.

o Tip as well as you can! We want to take great care of our servers as well as the venue itself!

Currently the anchors will be myself, Tiffany Boucher and/or Matt Saunders.

Looking forward to tunes with all of you!

From what time to when?

Re: Mickey Finn’s

Starts at 7 til close or til we get tired. Venue closes at 10 but we’d love to generate enough business to keep them open later! —Jason
