The Royal Bar Innellan
A small, fairly new and friendly session which grew out of the old sessions in MacClure’s Bar in Dunoon after this session closed and the landlord then took over the Royal. The venue is very pleasant and the landlord is a fiddle and mandolin player so a welcome is guaranteed. Music is mixed though with a slant towards Scottish but we have a fairly wide selection of music depending on who turns up on a Thursday evening. The level of competence is wide and instruments to be found include fiddle, accordion, flute and whistle, small pipes, mandolin family and guitar. It is mainly an instrumental session but if you fancy giving us a song then that is fine. Bar food is available too.
Innellan is on the Argyllshire side of the Clyde and there are two ferries linking to Gourock - Argyll Ferries is passenger only and Western Ferries takes cars and foot passengers.
Re: The Royal Bar
Forgot to say that sessions begin about 8.30 pm.
