5th Street Brewpub
Current as off 3/2023:
7-9 each Wednesday.
This is a very friendly, slow to medium session with players of varying skill levels at a very good local in the St Anne’s Hill neighborhood of Dayton. All traditional Irish players are welcome. Sets are primary aligned to Riley School of Irish Music standards. New tunes and players of all levels are welcome. Genre-appropriate songs/singers are also welcome.
Sessions consistently have the following instruments.
- Fiddle
- Flute
- Whistle
- Irish banjo
- Mandolyn
- Button & key accordions
- Uilleann piper
- Guitar
-Bodhran
Proper session etiquette is expected…be nice, be courteous.
- If you’re a fast player, please trying to play at a speed to encourage the less skilled players to join…at least for the first hour.
- If more that one bodhran player is present, please hold off until its your turn to play.
- Be courteous to others to that everyone has a chance to participate.
Re: 5th Street Brewpub - edit to main
This corrects an error in the session description. I should read:
"This session consistently has 5-10 players and the following instruments are there regularly.
- Fiddle
- Flute
- Whistle
- Irish banjo
- Mandolin
- Button & key accordions
- Uilleann piper
- Guitar
-Bodhran"

I really need to do a better job proofreading my posts!

Sweet! Currently I teach a ukulele class on Wednesday nights, but the 3/22 is my last class. I play tin Whistle and B/C accordion and I would love to pick up some new skills!
