Harrington Arms Session
This session is held every friday in a very old pub located half way between Congleton and Macclesfield, close to a village called Gawsworth.
The pub is not on the main road, but is set back on the old road leading to Gawsworth Church.
The pub is part of a farm, the outbuildings of which may be seen from the main road.
The standard of music is usually quite good, although beginners are welcome.
Irish, English, Scottish, American, Cape Breton, Klezma etc can all be heard at different times.
No two evenings are ever the same.
Harrington
Great old long running session. Separate room for the session with tiled floor which makes excellent accoustics.

The session’s still going….. Mixed source of music as before, English, Irish, Scottish, American etc..
The pub serves excellent food and the session usually kicks off between 8:30 and 9:00pm
Re: Harrington Arms
The session is still going but has been very thin some weeks. It needs you - especially in the summer when some of the regulars are often away.
Re: Harrington Arms

Re: Harrington Arms
I have revisited this session over the last couple of friday nights. Haven’t been in a long while. There are now very few musicians attending and it is squeezebox orientated playing mainly English music.
Re: Harrington Arms
This session has not run since the Covid lockdowns.
