Glasgow, Scotland

Going to Celtic Connection festival. I hope every evening sesion… Any advice??

Re: Glasgow, Scotland

There are late sessions in the Festival Club at the Art School union, but you have to pay to get in, as there are also live acts playing on stage.
See: https://www.celticconnections.com/event/98/celtic-connections-festival-club
There are also "Late Night Sessions" at the Drygate brewery, but they appear to be more concert acts than "joiny-in sessions"!

Look at the other sessions listed on the sessions page if you want earlier evening playing in other pubs.
And try to see Ross Ainslie’s concert at St Luke’s at 7.30. on the 31st: a must for any pipe fanatic, I’d think!

Hello Trish. Will try to make it to Celtic Connections 2020. Missed 2019 as I moved back to Glasgow just after it finished.

Re: Glasgow, Scotland

I’ll be coming over for Celtic Connections as well… put off buying concert & festival club tix until last minute, so there weren’t many options… still, I hope there are sessions happening around town. I’d love to meet some of the local players & get some more travel advice (hoping to go to Ireland after, but playing it all by ear…)
