I started playing guitar after I retired, but never could settle on a style until I went to the O'Flaherty's Music Festival in Midlothian last month. Now I'm also learning the whistle and am enjoying Irish music. I think I finally found what I enjoy.

I am from Texas,I play the trumpet, I barely play the bass guitar, and I am learning the pennywhistle. I love folk music of all sorts and especially the Irish/Scottish.

I attend the O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat nine times over the years - a really great experience that advanced my whistle playing considerably and introduced me to many artists and fellow retreat-goers.
