Waltz Quadrille

I learned this beautiful waltz from Floyd Chilton, of Paradise CA. He was in his 90’s at the time and could still play for dances in his area.

Also recorded by Jean Carignan on his ‘Archives’ 3 CD set

I danced this as a kid. I can still hear the call…

One of those handy tunes that can be set in a variety of keys. Carignan plays it in G, then moves over to D.

X: 2 ~ "Waltz Quadrille"

Working from memory, a third lower… Have also played this one in G and C. I think we had first and second endings too but haven’t yet been able to drag those out of memory.

Now to see if I can pull out a dance for it, or coax cboody to add his ‘calls’?
