Valse des Jouets

It is a well know tune composed by Michel Faubert a "Québécois pure laine".

Valse des Jouets

The A/D box, as played in the video, isn’t all that common this side of the Atlantic, but the tune could presumably be played equally well with the same fingering on the D/G, although in a different key.

Valse des Jouets as played by Dermot Byrne & Florine Blancke

On their CD this tune sounds in the key of ‘E’. Dermot plays a Briggs melodeon which I understand is tuned D/C#. They play it fairly briskly.
Here it is in ‘D’

on a D/G box

It plays very well on a D/G box if you make the most of playing across the rows. Quite smooth.
