Swan from Transatlantic Sessions

Having added “Bethany’s waltz” from an earlier Trans. Session, I fell in love with this tune by Catriona Mackay. I recorded it from the latest broadcast of the sessions (I believe they are all repeats but I missed the originals). It has driven me mad trying to work out what is tune, what is harmony and sometimes what is ornamentation. This is as close as I can get with my poor auditory equipment aka a pair of ears. Please feel free to add in corrections and/or improvements.
As a landlubber I’m guessing that LK 243 stands for the port registration of the boat she sailed in and that that port is Lerwick?

The Swan

Fiddlers’ Bid recorded this beautiful tune on their third album, Da Farder Ben Da Welcomer. According to the liner notes,
“The Swan is an old Fifie fishing vessel that was launched in Lerwick on 3 May 1900. The vessel has been recently restored and is used as a sail training vessel operating out of Lerwick. Catriona along with Chris and Andrew were aboard the Swan during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in 1999, an experience they will never forget.”

Catriona composed the tune on this journey.

You can obtain a score of this tune, and several others by Catriona McKay direct from her website. For £4 she provides 3 arrangements, two for harp and a melody and chord staves.
Well worth it.
