This tune, written by Brian Finnegan, has been around for a little while now… I’ve been meaning to learn it, but all those Flook clips just went by too fast to catch what was going on. If I’ve made a mistake though, either figure it out yourself, or let me know before it changes, please…

The B part of this tune, I think, is amazingly cool as opposed to most attempts at syncopation. However, it was also mind-numbing to me trying to get it transcribed right. It’s probably wrong still anyhow.

Flook plays it on an A whistle, putting it in the key of F#minor, and they play it in a set after Mist-Covered Mountain and before another of Brian’s tunes, The Cunning Runnings.

Have you got a link? YouTube or something? Or is there a particular album it’s on?

I know I’ve heard it before, I just can’t remember where (which probably means YouTube). It’s a brilliant tune!
