Actually Gan Ainm

I am afraid to say that I put this tune down as "Gan Ainm" not because I don’t know its name, but because it actually doesn’t have a name.

This is the second tune in track 10 of Garry Shannon’s "Loozin Air" - https://thesession.org/recordings/display/1970
On the track listing, he calls it Gan Ainm, but in the sleeve notes (which I don’t actually have on me, unfortunately) he tells us that his sisters wrote it one night to "counter his insomnia", or something like that. I don’t really see how writing a tune would counter anyone’s insomnia, but that’s what he says.
His sisters then promptly forgot about it the next morning, never giving it a name, but Garry remembered it well enough to make an awesome recording of it years later.

If and when I can get hold of the actual sleeve notes (I left the CD at home; I’m in uni at the moment), I will copy them out word for word. Or if you have it, please feel free to do so yourself.

So there you go.

Here’s the sleeve notes:
"The second of this selection is a collaborative effort by two of my sisters; a bit of diversion to counter insomnia at 4 am. one night. Mind you, after they’d played it once or twice the next day, they lost interest and discarded it. It has never been accorded the dignity of a title."
