“The Brig O’ Perth” ~ C: Donald Dow

With the gentle return of one of our members, alias Dow, I thought it only right to add something from his namesake, as a welcome back… Some have this as AAB, but it doesn’t fit the usual dances well that way… This is a fun one to play and to dance to as well…

The Bridge Of Perth

There are quite a few settings of this tune around, this is my own setting basically how I play it with the various triplet runs mixed about depending on which time through , I play tunes three times through with variations as inspired .

Re: The Bridge Of Perth

Strathspeys developed from reels and were known as strathspey reels for a while , so these tunes can be played either way as a reel , or a strathspey.
