Michael Ward

This tune is not a reel, but there is no proper category for it. I think that it is an O‘Carolan tune in 4/4 time. I learned it from the Arty McGlynn/Nollaig Casey CD ’Lead the Knave’

Hornpipe would be the much better category!

Michael O’Connor

This is the Dm setting that Garry O‘Briain has on his O’Carolan’s Dream CD, which is also how it appears in the Donal O‘Sullivan collection (’The Life, Times and Music of an Irish Harper’).

Given a choice, I would have given it a ‘hornpipe’ category.

E minor.

I like to play this tune in E minor.
