This is off the new Lunasa CD, Lá Nua. They list the tune as traditional but unless it has an alternate title it isn’t transcribed yet. I have transcribed a simple setting that is true to the recording without too many variations.
The tune was recorded as "Inverness Country Reel" but apparently I can’t use the word "Reel" in a tune title. Go figure.
Make that County, not Country… No, I refuse reading glasses.
There is a popular Scottish country dance called ‘The Inverness Country Dance’
Prehaps this is where the confusion lies
I found a small error in the first measure transcription, which I corrected in the ABC, plus I have fixed the beaming. I’ve written Jeremy but no fix for the black dots seems forthcoming. You may want to paste the ABC into Tune-O-Tron or ABCJ and get a better-looking and correct transcription. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Black dots are fixed. Thanks Jeremy!
