This jig was written by Pierre Schryer. He woke up one morning in 1992 with the jig in his head and it sounded to him like a Cape Breton tune, hence the name.
The posted version is from the playing of Troy MacGillivray on his Live at The Music Room CD.
Pierre Schryer plays it thus (or did on 1996’s New Canadian Waltz):
T: Cape Breton Dream
C: Pierre Schryer
S: Pierre Schryer/The New Canadian Waltz/Track 10
