Brian Finnegan tune

Have heard numerous clips of this tune on YouTube etc. This transcription was taken from an mp3 posted on the Finnegan-Coulter website.

Does anyone out there know the title? Is it one of Brian’s compositions?

Lovely variation

Brian sometimes plays the last measure of the A part: | fAAe- eAdc | which has a great syncopation to it.

The name of this tune as I know it is "James Kelly’s". Comas plays this tune- I think one of their members may have written it, but I don’t know.

Another way to play the first measure

Some other versions I’ve heard have the beginning of the tune this way: | BEEB DEBE | EBBE GABG |

What a fantastic tune this is!

Composition

I think this tune comes from the fairies, what a magical tune.
