Key misunderstanding

Thanks for uploading but I think the key shold be F#min instead of Bmin.

No, it’s B minor.

Or B dorian maybe, but not F#

Wooden Whale - key?

Probably B minor (Aeolian - natural minor). No accidentals, so not harmonic or melodic.

But there is no D in the tune, so hexatonic?

B dorian would have a G sharp (i.e. an A major key signature).

My left hand tells me that the harmony is just Bminor and Amajor (unless one wants to get inventive).

Great tune. What an unusual name; whence cometh same, may I ask?
