A couple of recordings incuding this tune have already been noted in the "recordings" section of session.org
Dunkeld is a town in Perthshire, Scotand.
Q. Is this the property from which the tune takes its title?
It could be anywhere… Dunkeld is also a Surname.
“Could be anywhere” - but not very likely….
Since this jig appears in the "Niel Gow Collection of Scottish Dance Music", and Niel Gow lived at Inver, near Dunkeld, in Perthshire, I think it a safe bet to assume that the tune title refers to that particular building or estate, "Mix O’Lydian". Never met anyone in my life with the surname "Dunkeld", [ which doesn’t mean that they don’t exist somewhere ]. Decide for yourself which you you think is the more probable.
