This was composed by Joe Scurfield.

I learnt this from the Lau recording, Lightweights and Gentlemen. As a variation they play the first half in three rounds starting 1 bar appart. It’s brilliant.

The Creche, X:2

I was looking for this tune and found it both here and on the same Lau recording mentioned above, but when I looked at the notation along with the recording, I seemed to be hearing the tune differently, and I think it’s different enough to be worth sharing.

Joe Scurfield wrote fantastic tunes!

There’s also a version by a fiddler on Youtube, though he spells it Kreche, whereas Lau spell it with a C. If it’s been written as a slip jig homage to the Kesh, that’d make sense.
