Autumn Leaves

This Hornpipe was collected on a reel to reel tape of the Mullingar Fleadh 1966, and played by Al Seery on tin whistle I think it is also known as Falling Leaves & also Fallen Leaves.

Autumn Leaves, X:2

This setting is from the collection of tunes in manuscript form published by Dan Herlihy in 2003. It on page 36, tune 1. As often, the tune has no name. It is remarkably similar to the first setting here, lacking the whistle players upper octave Ds to finish.

Re: Autumn Leaves

In most of the POK MS’s the repeat instructions (🙂 are omitted. However I believe in general the 8 bars are repeated when played (including in POK recordings).

The (🙂 should be a ":"

Re: Autumn Leaves

POK MSS = Padraig O’Keeffe’s manuscripts. HTH.

Re: Autumn Leaves

Thanks Nigel! I forgot Padraig’s name with the main text.
