"AKA - ‘Humours of Strandroad’. Irish, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A version of this tune appears in Brendan Breathnach’s Ceol Rince na hÉireann IV (1996), as an untitled jig (No. 17) from the Stephen Grier collection (Grier was a piper and fiddler from Farnaught, County Leitrim, who compiled his music manuscript collection in the early 1880’s). A version of the jig also was entered into the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection of Canon James Goodman (County Cork). Some similarity in parts to ‘Top of Cork Road (The)’ or ‘Father O’Flynn.’
There are several ‘Strand Roads’ in Ireland."
